Other Art

I’ve started dabbling with other forms of art as well!

Once I allowed myself to start creating Light Language art, I started getting intuitive nudges to try creating other types of art. A few of the pieces I’ve made are for me, but the vast majority of them are not. The healing that comes from creating the piece is for me, but the finished piece is meant for someone else. So I’ve added an “Other Art” category in my shop!

A few of the magnets that I’ve painted.

I’ve been guided to create all sorts of pieces, such as paintings, bookmarks, magnets, and decorative pieces.

I’ve been nudged to play with different mediums and materials, such as canvas, wood, watercolors, paper, colored pencils, acrylic paints, acrylic paint pens, and even light molding paste.

As a recovering perfectionist and recovering control freak, I’ve always shied away from creating art because “what if I’m terrible at it?” and “what if it comes out awful?”. But finally just allowing myself to play and see what happens has been so freeing, and so healing. Because, really, what’s the worst that can happen? I don’t like it and start over?

Here are a few bookmarks that I’ve painted! The first 2 also include the use of light molding paste to create some 3D shapes and textures.

As I always say, failure is the best way to learn what doesn’t work, so that we can tweak things and try again. And art is so subjective that there is already a lot of freedom in that arena. So go out there and play! Create! Have fun! See where art and creativity can take you!

I have also completely fallen in love with “dot art”, and I’m continuing to play with that in various forms. Essentially, it is making hundreds of dots (or thousands, for large pieces!) using acrylic paint and dotting tools. I find the process so relaxing and meditative.

Left to right: 10” heart-shaped canvas with a Tree of Life, a 5x7” canvas with a 3D lotus created using light molding paste, and a 3x9” canvas painted with chakra colors.

Similar to my Reiki-infused crystal healing jewelry, nearly all of my art is one of a kind. So if you love a piece, it would be a good idea to scoop it up before someone else does! I am also accepting commissions for art pieces. Please allow a couple of weeks for art commissions, as art creation takes significantly longer than jewelry creation.
